Lalon shah bridge is the 4^th longest road bridge of Bangladesh. It is 1800 meters long,Megna-Gomti bridge,jamuna bridge and Megna bridge.Lalon shah bridge provides communicative connection to Mongla sea- Port of Khulna division and the northern part of Bangladesh Rajshai and Rangpur division in south.The bridge was named in 19^th century mystic poet Lalon shah of kushtia.The mighty Padma carries immense volume of water and it leaves slightly to the south of kushtia. Over the river of padma and Iswardi upazila on the east and Bheramara of kushtia on the west and parallel to south of Hardinge bridge,the Lalon shah bridge siatuated and completed in 2004.

Kushtia Kangal Harinath

Kangal Harinath was a great Journalist. In 1833 he was born.He composed literature,Folksong etc and published monthly paper named as a “gramer barta” in 1863.out of his 18(eighteen)books Bijoy bosonto,chittochopola, Matrimohima were famous.He composed of Baoul Sangeet in 16(sixteen) segment named as Fikirchand Gitaboli.You will see last memorial sing at kanggal kutir. He died 16^th April in 1896.

Kushtia MohiniMills

The mohimill is one of the famous personality in kushtia Mr.Mohini Mohan chakrabati established this garment mills named as kushtia Mohinimills and co. limited in 1908. In running position Mohinimill got recognition the largest garment factory in Asia.At last it was black listed in 1982.After that Mrs.Afser group of industries purchased this mill from government and it was named shah Makdum Texitile mills the 25^th September in 1984.Just a little days later it was closed also.Recently it started with short-term.

Kushtia Shahi Mosque

Jhaudia Jamme Mosque is one of the historical place at kushtia.During the reign of Emperor Shahajan Land lord Ahamad Ali sufi build up the historical Shahi mosque at his own residence at the sadar upazilla in jhaudia union.From the Brittipara high way road kushita and Jhenaidaha yor can also go to the mosque by walking till to-day  the architectural design and building method attracted the home and foreign tourist.

Rabindranaths kutibari

kushtia is a cultural village of Bangladesh.The nobel laureat Rabindranath Tagore lived kumarkhali upazilla at shilaidaha,

  kuthibari.it is twenty kilometere from kushtia town.Rabindranath wrote many poems and lives some parts of his lifes.Being a zaminder he built kuthibari residence cum office to collect revenue from local peseamts.Now Kuthibari is the museum of Rabindranath Tagore that is created by the archaeological department of Bangladesh.

Lalon Fakir shrine The famous Baoul founder of the boulfaith shrine Lalon Fakir situated at cheouria 

almost two kilometere from kushtia town.Every year the Lalon fair is organised by the local Lalon authority.Many Lalon fan take part with great enthusiasm.

kushtia city municipality

kushtia city municipality house is situated at the middle of the town.Many cultural programe held this premises. The municipality building was built by british government. The municipality building is famous for its beautification.it is always enjoyable place for any tourists.

Walter Hamilton's The East India Gazetteer has the mention of Kustee town and local people called the town Kushte.NOW it is named kushtia. During the British rule Kushtia was not a separate district and was a part of a part West Bengal (Former Nadia district) of undivided India.
Kushtia Municipality was established in 1869. The town is above 20 kilometre. Kushtia was made a Different district, consisting of Kushtia Sador Was the subdivisions Meherpur and Chuadanga.

The Renouned Person of kushtia are Bagha Jatin, Mir Mosharraf Hossain, Rabindranath Tagore, Lalon Fakir ,Kobi Azizur Rahaman,Quamrul Hasan Siddique, the birthplace of historical figuress.

For the Ganga-Kopotakha Project Kushtia town was Beautiful.Many government offices Were established in 1954. Ganga-Kopotakha irrigation Project was started in 1954. It was the first corp project in Kushtia. The entire project was chairman Moulavi Abdul Bari Biswas.
1971Liberation Kushtia had tremendous contribution for our homeland. Initially Pakistani armed forces captured kushtia police station, ansars, and settled an outpost there, soon they faced a considerable resistance from a group of police, students and local people.But the local people recapture their teretory by heavy fighting.
some development projects were taken in the district Kushtia after the independent of Bangladesh. Islamic versity foundation stone was laid at Shantidanga - Dalulpur in 22-11-1979 districts of Kustia-Jhenidah. In 1990 University was re-shifted its original place santidanga. Meherpur and Chuadanga under the subdivisions of Kushtia were named separate districts 10-4-1984.
